In accordance with the task requirements of the fishery resources protection project of the Ministry of Agriculture, under the guidance of the proliferation and release leading group of Xiamen Marine and Fishery Bureau, the Municipal Marine and Fishery Research Institute strictly follows the regulation on the proliferation and release management of aquatic organisms, through selecting the locally distributed marine aquatic animal species in Xiamen and reasonable release sites and other technical measures, earnestly organize the implementation of proliferation and release work, and publicly purchase release species from the society through government procurement procedures, after Virus and drug residue detection, the release time, place, variety and quantity of the release will be publicized in Xiamen daily or on the Internet one week before each release activity, after being confirmed by aquatic experts, the number and the whole process of releasing seedlings were tracked by the notary department, successfully completing the task of proliferation and releasing this year.

On the morning of September 26, Xiamen Marine and Fishery Bureau hosted an expert seminar on the implementation plan of fishery resources protection, proliferation and release. The Meeting invited Xiamen University, Fujian Fisheries Research Institute, experts from Xiamen Ocean Vocational and Technical College and other units and personnel from relevant offices of the Bureau, this paper conducts demonstration and review on the project of agricultural resources and ecological protection subsidy fund of the Ministry of Finance in 2017 compiled by the Municipal Marine and Fishery Research Institute-"Xiamen fishery resources protection, proliferation and release implementation plan. The meeting listened to the work report of the Institute on the plan of proliferation and release, reviewed the feasibility study report of the project, listened to the report of the project team, questioned and discussed, experts at the meeting seriously discussed and commented on the plan. Experts believe that the institute has the working Foundation of proliferation and release for many years, and it has good social, economic and ecological benefits to carry out proliferation and release in Xiamen Sea area. The Implementation Plan of proliferation and release compiled is generally feasible, at the same time, confirm and refine the release varieties and quantity in the scheme, and whether the seedling supply is stable or not is the basis for determining the proliferation and release. The actual production capacity of the successful bidder in the seed production should be considered when choosing the release local varieties.

The meeting further combed the work plan and specific work arrangement of next year's proliferation and release, which will be conducive to the orderly promotion of the proliferation and release work in our city, effectively improve the efficiency of proliferation and release, and protect the fishery resources in Xiamen Sea area, promote the sustainable development of Xiamen fishery. The meeting held that carrying out scientific and applicable proliferation and release activities aims at restoring the amount of marine biological resources, improving the productivity of water areas, improving the structure of biological communities, restoring the ecological environment and achieving the goal of restoring marine resources and increasing fishermen's income.
